My main page looks scary? lol. I never expect that. But it's good constructive criticsm/comments. hmm... is it really that scary? You tell me. ;)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset by the comment. In fact, I find it amusing. That's the first time I get such a comment. lol.

Spear Britney --> anti-Britney Spears clique. I think the name is creative. Just by twisting her name, Britney Spears becomes Spear Britney. lol.
quote from the site:
"I know some of you really like Britney and are going to be a leetle perturbed that the princess is being dissed here. Well here's what we have to say... piss off. We have a right to dislike her just as much as you do to like her.
Yes, I listen to Britney Spears and I like her songs. But I'm not pissed off. I'm not against people who don't like her. Everyone has their own taste. lol. And yes, I agree everyone has the right to dislike her.

That's Why You Go Away and 25 Minutes (this song was really famous in Asia back then) which was released back in 1996 was some of my favourite MLTR songs and still is. I used to play those songs on piano a lot. When I was asked to give a performance (piano-playing) back in primary school, I recalled playing those two songs on different occasions. aah... memories. :)

Why is it there are so few sites about Michael Learns to Rock? I just finished listening to their album - Blue Night. It's great. But there seem to be a slight change in their style. There's more rock influence in their music now. Not that I don't like it but it's just ...different. A bit strange, I guess... but lovely songs nonetheless. The harmonious melodies are just so great. mmm.... I love MLTR. I'm already starting to get bored of romantic pop-ballads but MLTR's songs are always the best. Absolutely.

urhm.... looking for articles related to teen sexuality in the 'net for a magazine I'm in-charge of. Checking out this, this and this sites. The magazine is actually a project by the local Rotary Club
where I live but it involves Interact club members. I'm an interactor and I was chosen to be the chief editor. The magazine is basically for teenagers, so the articles must have something to do with teens. We'll be doing a section about about teens & sex and stuff like these so I'm looking for some info from various websites.

Just uploaded the new design for my site. Everything's working except this weblog which still looks ugly because digitalrice.com is down.

Today is the 3rd day of Chinese New Year. My house has been pretty quiet despite being CNY these days. Usually, lots of people will come visiting but for the past two days, only 5 of my older brother's friends came to visit. But today was totally different. First, 7 guys (yes, all guys, no girls. lol) from my class came visiting at around 1.00 p.m. They were around for abour 20 minutes (I think) and then 18 people (my mom's ex-students. My mom is a teacher) came. So the guys left. Later, at around 4-something, another 6 or 7 people (can't remember exactly) who are my brother's friends and some my mom's ex-sudents came for a visit. phew, more than 30 visitors in a day.
I went to visit an ex-teacher (who taught me English during 1st and 2nd form but retired last year) with my brother. We talked awhile about school and all that. He even asked me about the Literature Component in our English and BM (Malay Language) this year. sheesh, that is something people shouldn't ask me because I happen to dislike it. And I will go straight to the point and just blab out why I don't like it. lol.
I epecially dislike BM literature. English is okay really.... the poems are nice, and the stories are okay albeit a bit boring at times. But the literature component for BM is almost ridiculous. We have to study 12 modern prose (short stories), 8 classic prose, 6 dramas, 12 modern poetry, 12 classic poetry and 2 novels. All in the space of two years for SPM. Hello? Are we Superman or something? How the heck are we supposed to remember all that for the exam? English was a bit better. Only 6 poems, 5 short stories, and 1 novel. Besides, we're not even studying English and BM literature as a subject. It's merely a small component of the main subject. Putting so much stuff into the BM Lit. component is so unfair. blah.
I think I've ramble way too much about this literature thing.

digitalrice.com is not functioning again!!! blah. I need to upload some new images and a CSS file for this weblog. And as usual, my weblog looks absolutely ugly now because the css file (which is linked to my digitalrice.com account) is not working either. aargh. I hate it when this happens. But digitalrice.com has great tech support. The other day when I couldn't log into my account, I emailed them and got a response the other day. All problems were solved immediately after they receive the mail. I think that's really great. Now, if only it isn't down so often....

I just came home from the cinema watching Vertical Limit. god, that movie is really a thrilling watch. It was just so absolutely exciting. The special effects are so amazing, it's totally WOW! And the sound system was really good. I could feel my heart beating while the sound boomed from the screen. And the popcorn was like vibrating or something. ;) I think that movie was pretty good.... despite the not-so-good reviews I read in the newspapers. And I think Chris O'Donnell's acting is quite good. Some reviews said his acting was terrible. huh? He may not be the greatest actor, but I think he did pretty well in this movie. I wouldn't mind watching VL again. But only in the cinema. It's amazing, really.

Why am I posting now? It's CNY. I should be celebrating, visiting friends or whatever. Anything but sitting in front of the computer screen, typing away nonsense which I am doing now. hah.
My older brother is out visiting his ex-teachers with some friends. I'm bored. There's nothing to do. I'm sick of the CNY songs on TV. So I'm right here.
aaah, I forgot to send some CNY e-cards to my online friends!! I guess sending a message through ICQ counts. It's the thought that matters anyway....

I'm amazed I actually stayed up and post early this morning. ;) It's afternoon now and there really isn't much festive mood around here. It's strangely tranquil and it gives me the shivers. lol. I thought CNY was supposed to be noisy... umm... what happened to the cymbals and lion dances?
By the way, some correction about the post at 12.09 a.m. The noise is not from the fireworks, it's firecrackers. heh. I can't believe I typed the wrong thing. I thought firecrackers were banned... Where did they get them? I wonder....

hmm... Here's some oriental-style greeting for CNY:
gong xi fa cai, wan si ru yi. xin nien kuai le.
Unless you can read mandarin or understand Chinese language, you won't know what that means. Basically, it's a Happy CNY greeting in Mandarin. hehe, Mandarin classes anyone?

aargh.... I didn't the previous entry on time. I was planning to post it exactly at 12.01 a.m. but I was two minutes slow. ;) urm.... I'm not crazy. lol.
There are a lot of fireworks going on right now. The noise is making me annoyed. It sounded cool at first, but there are way too much explosion sounds going on now and it's making me sick. gah.

Dinner today was great. :) A lot of people were asking me why my family didn't go back to my parents' hometown for CNY. Usually, the reunion dinner during CNY eve is held together with all the relatives. One of my friends in school said that having the reunion dinner at home just isn't really a 'reunion'. Well, yeah... I suppose that might make sense. But then again, my brother had just returned from college two days ago so it still is some sort of reunion, isn't it? Despite the fact that he was only away for two weeks.... ;)
Anyway, I prefer celebrating CNY with my small family instead of the whole large family (uncles, aunts, cousins, grandmothers etc), so I think it's just fine. :)
By the way, Operation Decorate Home went very well. lol. I'm pretty happy with the decorations at home for CNY. :) Nothing fancy really, but it still looks nice. uumm... I'm excited about CNY tomorrow. And guess what? It'll be CNY in a few more minutes.
Countdown - ten, nine, eight......

hrm.... got a hosting offer from liquidstar.org. No, I won't be taking it. It's not that I don't like the domain or anything. I just don't intend to leave envy.nu for now. But I haven't replied to the owner. I will later.

Notice that Pei Vern's new site URL is http://digitalrice.com/prankster/. I'm wondering... is the word prankster inspired by the Offsprings' song, Original Prankster? lol. I like that song. It's hilarious.

Pei Vern made something new! It's funky. I've seen it two days ago before it was launched because I 'test drive' her site. But it still looks cool. Kind of like retro and modern-like. :)
Speaking of her, we're chatting on ICQ right now. Talking about guys who cook and making cookies. lol.

Did I tell you I'm looking forward for the reunion dinner tonight? hehe.

CNY eve today. I can't believe tomorrow is Chinese New Year! It seems like time's flying real fast. ;) Dad bought a lot of flowers to decorate the garden today. ooh.. they're lovely. Especially the chrysanthemums. I'll be on Operation Decorate Home *grin* tonight. It's time to hang up the decorative items again! (fire-crackers, CNY cards etc.) I'm looking forward to it. lol.

I think I want to go offline now. I have a slight headache. And I'll be joining a visit to an Old Folks' Home tomorrow morning. I have to sleep.
If anyone is wondering, the visit is a community service project by our Interact Club in school (I'm the secretary).

urm... one just went offline. And an American friend came online instead.

There are 5 people online in my ICQ list. I'm chatting to Sookie AND Pei Vern. (umm... yes, 2 people. I usually chat to 2 people at a time. lol) Another three are also Malaysians. heh. Proves that most Malaysian teens are having fun online now that it's the hols.

I was just showing my younger brother this site, which is so adorable. ;) He's a huge fan of Harry Potter. I read the books... They are interesting and I do look forward for the future books, but I'm not exactly a big fan. I'm not really into fantasy stuff. But Harry Potter stories are interesting enough to hold my attention. lol.

You mean that's not a webcam? aah....I got fooled there. ;) It really looks like a webcam shot anyway....
Anyway, I'm still wishing for a webcam. I don't think that's ever going to happen but whoever said it's wrong to have wishful thinking? *grin*

I'm fiddling with PaintShop Pro again. I hope I can come up with something nice for my website. I'm bored of the current layout.

Stale is finally back with a fiery layout. I think it's CNY-themed. The dragon looks absolutely great... wondering why there isn't a snake. (2001 is the snake year. lol) Love the red. And the chinese characters - xin qi ri (Sunday) etc. gives a nice oriental touch. Love it. :)
Sookie seems to be looking for new members for the blog. I applied. Because I have nothing better to do. ;)

Oh yeah.... You sure look upset in that webcam shot, Pei Vern. Bad mood?
